Michael Desronvil speaks out as lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy trial
Michael Desronvil, the lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, has spoken publicly for the first time since the case ended in a mistrial. Desronvil was the only member of the 12-person jury who refused to accept the defense's argument that Clancy was not criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis.
In interviews, Desronvil maintained that he had no reasonable doubt regarding Clancy's guilt, describing her actions during the 2023 killings of her three children as “methodical” and “logical.” He noted that while deliberations were “tense,” he felt the evidence supported his position. He also addressed claims from other jurors who alleged he ignored reasonable doubt, denying those accusations.
Desronvil expressed concerns for his safety following actions by Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, who sought to review the juror’s cellphone data. Desronvil stated he felt “scared” and targeted after the attorney’s motions and the subsequent leaking of his identity.
The case involves the deaths of three children in Massachusetts. While the defense argued Clancy was suffering from severe mental illness, prosecutors maintained she planned the killings. A retrial has not yet been scheduled, and Clancy remains charged with murder.
