Jury acquits man of serious indecency and indecent assault
A jury has acquitted a man of charges of serious indecency and indecent assault following a criminal trial. The verdict was reached by an 8–1 majority after approximately four hours of deliberation.
The case originated from an incident on February 27, 2025, involving a female client receiving a hot-stone full-body massage at a spa. The complainant alleged that the accused performed sexual acts without her consent during the session. The trial also addressed a separate allegation regarding an earlier encounter in a parking lot, which the accused stated he could not recall.
Attorney Wendel Alexander represented the accused, while the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions prosecuted the case on behalf of the Crown. The acquittal brings the prosecution on both charges to an end.
