Jussi Tuores sanctioned by DEL2 following misconduct

The DEL2 league has issued sanctions against Jussi Tuores, head coach of the Eispiraten Crimmitschau, following his conduct after a match against the Blue Devils Weiden on September 27, 2026.

Tuores received a fine and a one-game ban from the locker room, which has been suspended on probation until the end of the 2026/2027 season. The disciplinary action follows reports that Tuores entered the ice surface to confront officials in an unsportsmanlike manner and subsequently used insulting language toward a female referee during a press conference.

Tuores had expressed frustration regarding officiating decisions during the game, specifically citing 18 penalty minutes assessed to his team. The Eispiraten Crimmitschau organization stated they will not appeal the ruling, accepting the strict regulations of the DEL2.
