Justice Kaushik Goswami recommended as permanent Gauhati High Court judge

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Kaushik Goswami as a permanent judge of the Gauhati High Court. The decision was finalized during a Collegium meeting held on September 23, 2026.

Justice Goswami, who has served as an additional judge since November 2, 2023, was elevated to the Bench from the Bar. Prior to his judicial appointment, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Gauhati High Court in May 2022. He is currently stationed at the Aizawl Bench of the Gauhati High Court.
