Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak sworn in at Gujarat High Court
Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak has officially assumed his role as a judge of the Gujarat High Court following a transfer from the Orissa High Court. The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal during a ceremony held in Ahmedabad.
The transfer was authorized by an order from President Droupadi Murmu, following recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium on August 6. Justice Pathak, who was initially appointed as a judge in 2013, has a legal background spanning several regions, including enrollment with the Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh.
This move is part of a broader judicial reshuffle. Alongside Justice Pathak, the Collegium also recommended the transfer of Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra from the Orissa High Court to the Chhattisgarh High Court.
