Justice Minister Rutthapol denies stalling Khao Kradong land case
Thailand's Minister of Justice, Pol. Lt. Gen. Rutthapol Naowarat, has denied allegations from attorney Pattarapong Supaksorn (known as Attorney Aun Buriram) that he is stalling the Khao Kradong land dispute case.
Minister Rutthapol clarified that the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has already forwarded the case files to prosecutors. The legal process is currently awaiting a conclusion from the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT). He noted that the Khao Kradong case originated before he assumed his current ministerial position.
The Minister also addressed the unprofessional language used during the dispute, urging for more respectful communication to avoid setting a poor example for youth. He further addressed past personal connections, stating that his previous law enforcement actions involving the attorney's family were strictly professional duties performed while he was a police officer in Buriram province.
