Walter Vuoto proposes internal elections for Tierra del Fuego PJ

Walter Vuoto, the President of the Justicialist Party (PJ) in Tierra del Fuego and Mayor of Ushuaia, has called for internal party elections to resolve regional differences within the movement. Speaking at the inauguration of a new party headquarters in Río Grande, Vuoto emphasized that true unity must be built around shared objectives and connection with the people rather than mere agreements between leaders.

Vuoto suggested that if various sectors of the PJ cannot reach a consensus, the decision should be left to the voters through an open primary process. During the event, which coincided with the 16th anniversary of Néstor Kirchner's death, Vuoto also criticized national government policies for their impact on local industry, workers, and retirees, advocating for a political agenda focused on provincial production and employment.

The inauguration brought together a wide range of political figures, union representatives, and militants from across the province, including legislators and local council members.
