Justin Bieber Performs at FIFA World Cup Final Amid Pre‑Event Cigar Controversy

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was photographed smoking a cigar during a golf outing with friends in The Hamptons a few days before his appearance in the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup final. The performance took place on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Bieber joined a lineup that includes Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS 22 Chorus and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The ceremony supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to improve children's access to education and sport. Bieber’s participation comes as part of a career resurgence following his July 2025 album “Swag.”
