Justin Jefferson aims to reclaim NFL top wide receiver status
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson expressed confidence that he will reclaim his status as the NFL’s top wide receiver following a season of quarterback instability. Jefferson acknowledged that the general public may no longer view him as the undisputed number one at his position, stating, “Not yet. Not yet. But they will (know) after this year — I’ll tell you that.”
Jefferson’s previous season was marked by a career-low two touchdowns and a lack of consistent quarterback play. However, the outlook for the 2026 campaign has improved following the arrival of Kyler Murray. The former Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowler was recently named the Vikings' starting quarterback after winning a training camp competition.
The Vikings are scheduled to open their season on September 13 against the Green Bay Packers.
