Justin Jefferson rumored to join Las Vegas Raiders from Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson finished the 2023 season with 84 receptions for 1,048 yards and two touchdowns, missing an All‑Pro selection. Analyst Hondo Carpenter speculated that Jefferson could be traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, reuniting him with former Vikings offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who is now the Raiders head coach. Carpenter wrote, “I think you wait and let that Justin Jefferson thing pan out a little bit. Nothing's imminent.” The Raiders are valued at roughly $7.7 billion and hold the AFC’s top draft pick for 2026. An ESPN survey of league executives ranked Jefferson as the NFL’s second‑best wide receiver, behind Ja'Marr Chase, citing his 8,480 receiving yards as the highest in a player’s first six seasons.
If the trade were to occur, Jefferson would add to a Raiders receiving corps that includes Jalen Nailor, Tre Tucker and Dont'e Thornton Jr., giving the franchise a high‑profile target for its upcoming draft selections.
