Justin Martinez records immaculate inning for Diamondbacks

Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Justin Martinez recorded an immaculate inning during a game against the Texas Rangers. In the sixth inning, the 25-year-old struck out three consecutive batters using only nine pitches.

Martinez retired Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter, and Jake Burger with a combination of one foul ball, three called strikes, and five swinging strikes. His fastball reached speeds of up to 102.6 mph during the feat. This marks the fifth immaculate inning in Diamondbacks franchise history and the fourth in Major League Baseball so far this season.

This performance follows a successful return from the injured list after Martinez underwent his second Tommy John surgery last year. Since returning, he has not allowed an earned run over his recent outings.
