Justo González Ballesta, former mayor of Mos, dies at 74

Justo González Ballesta, a prominent Galician physician and politician, has passed away at the age of 74 at the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo.

Ballesta held significant public roles in the Mos region, serving as mayor on two separate occasions: first from 1986 to 1989 and again from 1991 to 1997. His political career included serving as a deputy in the Parliament of Galicia following the 1997 regional elections and holding positions such as provincial director of Sergas in Pontevedra and delegate for the Ministry of Territorial Policy.

In addition to his political and medical career, he served as the president of the Real Club Náutico de Vigo in 2016. Local institutions, including the Mos City Council and the Náutico de Vigo, have expressed their condolences to his family and loved ones.
