Justus Liebig University Giessen teams win Hessen Ideen startup awards

Two teams from Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) have won major awards at the statewide ‘Hessen Ideen’ startup competition.

The project ‘Hemodynamix’ secured first place and a 10,000 euro prize for developing software designed for heart function analysis, aiming to provide more precise and non-invasive diagnostics for patients.

Additionally, the JLU team ‘PRISM’ received the inaugural AI special prize of 5,000 euro, awarded in cooperation with hessian. AI. Their work focuses on using artificial intelligence to discover new high-performance materials for applications in spaceflight and the energy transition.

The awards were presented in Frankfurt by Hesse's Science Minister, Timon Gremmels. Both winning teams were supported by the JLU's ECM startup center.
