JustWatch Group to launch JustWatch TV streaming service in October

The JustWatch Group, which operates a major global streaming guide, has announced the October launch of its own streaming service, JustWatch TV. The announcement was made at the Toronto International Film Festival’s content marketplace, TIFF: The Market.

JustWatch TV will be integrated directly into the existing JustWatch app and website. The service will utilize a multi-tiered model, offering free ad-supported viewing (AVOD), transactional rental options (TVOD), and an ad-free subscription-based option. The company aims to leverage its data from 50 million monthly users to curate content that meets specific audience demand.

The service is scheduled to debut in several regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. Initial content partners include Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street, and Vortex Media. While the service will allow users to watch content directly on the platform, it is also designed to route viewers to their preferred third-party streaming services.
