JustWatch reports shifting streaming market shares in Switzerland and Germany

According to Q2 2026 data from streaming guide JustWatch, the landscape of video-on-demand services is shifting in Switzerland and Germany.

In Switzerland, Netflix leads with 22% of measured user interest, closely followed by Disney+ at 20%. While Netflix remains the market leader, it has seen a significant year-over-year decline of 4 percentage points. Amazon Prime Video (17%) and Apple TV (13%) follow, with Apple TV showing growth since mid-2025. Paramount+ also reported gains in both quarterly and annual comparisons.

In Germany, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are in a tight competition, both holding approximately 24% of the market. Following its launch in January, HBO Max continues to gain ground, increasing its market share by one percentage point in the second quarter. This expansion has impacted local providers, such as RTL+, which saw a decline in market share.
