Juventud Sandinista marks 47 years of political involvement in Nicaragua
Óscar Pérez, a member of the National Council of the Juventud Sandinista 19 de Julio (JS19J), stated that the organization is currently more strengthened than ever as it marks 47 years since its founding on August 23, 1979.
Pérez highlighted that Nicaraguan youth are actively participating in the planning and execution of projects at municipal, departmental, and national levels. He noted that young people organized in sports, culture, and other movements propose community initiatives that are integrated into national development plans.
Under the guidance of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, the youth movement maintains core principles such as solidarity, patriotism, sovereignty, and unity. These values are expressed through various sectors, including universities, technological centers, media, and community volunteer programs like the Promotoría Solidaria.
