Juventus outlines strategic shift toward Italian players
Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has outlined the club's strategic direction, emphasizing a desire to increase the number of Italian players in the squad to rebuild the team's identity. While acknowledging the difficulty of the market due to high costs and financial regulations, the club is actively monitoring domestic talents like Lorenzo Palmisani, Michael Kayode, and Cherem Ndour.
Regarding coaching, Carnevali dismissed rumors of Antonio Conte replacing Luciano Spalletti, stating that while Conte is a top professional, he has never been considered for the role. The club remains focused on building a solid foundation to compete for trophies and secure Champions League qualification.
On the player front, several updates have emerged. Young prospect Kerim Alajbegovic recently scored for Bosnia but left his match early due to a reported muscle concern, though his coach suggested it may have been cramp. Meanwhile, Vasilije Adžić is performing exceptionally well on loan at Sassuolo, prompting Juventus to maintain close contact with his representatives regarding his future. The club is also managing the fitness of Francisco Conceição, who has been training with a bandage on his leg.
