Juventus coach Spalletti tests tactical shift for Andrea Cambiaso

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti is considering a tactical shift involving Andrea Cambiaso. Following his recovery from an ankle injury, Cambiaso may transition from his traditional fullback role to playing as a right mezzala within a 4-3-3 formation.

In this new role, Cambiaso would operate in a midfield three alongside Weston McKennie and Douglas Luiz. This move aims to increase offensive unpredictability and dynamism in the central zone while utilizing Cambiaso’s athletic qualities and ability to make offensive runs.

The tactical experimentation comes at a time when the squad is depleted due to international call-ups and injuries, leaving the coach with a limited group of available players. The goal is to refine these strategic solutions ahead of a demanding autumn schedule involving nine official matches between mid-October and early November.
