Juventus considers terminating Nick Woltemade loan

Juventus is reportedly considering alternatives to striker Nick Woltemade as the club evaluates his performance during his season-long loan from Newcastle United. The 24-year-old German international has struggled to make an impact in Turin, recording only one goal in four appearances and failing to secure a start in Serie A.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Juventus may ‘sensationally decide’ to terminate the loan agreement in January if Woltemade’s output does not improve. Concerns have been raised regarding his playing style; despite his 1.98m height, he functions more as a deep-lying second striker rather than the traditional penalty-box target man the club currently lacks.

Woltemade’s recent international performance, including a high-profile missed chance for Germany against Serbia, has further intensified scrutiny. While the striker has expressed confidence in working under coach Luciano Spalletti, the club is already looking toward the winter transfer window to find a more clinical goalscorer.
