Juventus excludes Arkadiusz Milik from Serie A and Europa League squads
Juventus has excluded striker Arkadiusz Milik from both its Serie A and Europa League squad lists. Despite showing improved fitness during summer friendlies, the Polish forward will now be restricted to playing only in the Coppa Italia.
Coach Luciano Spalletti explained the decision was driven by squad management and the club's inability to finalize transfer moves as originally planned. Spalletti noted that he could not justify carrying three strikers while facing shortages in other positions. The decision follows failed attempts by the club to reach an agreement with Milik for an early contract termination.
While Milik has chosen to remain at the club rather than seek an immediate exit, his future appears uncertain. Reports indicate that Polish club Widzew Łódź had previously expressed interest in his situation, though a return to the Ekstraklasa is not currently considered a priority for the player. Milik could potentially be reintegrated into the Serie A squad during future transfer windows if a teammate suffers a serious injury.
