Juventus faces midfield crisis following Locatelli surgery

Juventus is facing a severe injury crisis that has significantly depleted its squad depth. Captain Manuel Locatelli has undergone successful surgery to repair a meniscus tear, a procedure that is expected to sideline him for five to six months.

The club's medical department has managed 18 injuries since the start of the season, resulting in 200 days of lost time. Other notable absences include Khephren Thuram, who is expected to return in early 2027 following knee surgery, and Kenan Yildiz, who is recovering from a metatarsal fracture.

To address these shortages, manager Luciano Spalletti is considering several options.
