Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto returns to the club

Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto has returned to Juventus, marking his second stint with the club after nine years. Following a recent friendly match against Cremonese, Neto expressed positive energy regarding his return and his initial interactions with manager Spalletti.

Neto noted the significant changes at the club since his previous tenure, specifically highlighting the transition from the Vinovo training center to the modern Continassa facilities. He stated he feels mentally prepared and ready for this new chapter, acknowledging the different historical cycle the club is currently navigating.

His signing has sparked debate regarding Juventus's strategy for its developmental side, Next Gen. Critics have questioned the decision to bring in the 37-year-old experienced goalkeeper rather than promoting younger talents from the Next Gen roster, such as Radu, Fuscaldo, or Mangiapoco, during periods of injury within the first team.
