Juventus legend Rampulla criticizes squad composition
Former Juventus goalkeeper Michelangelo Rampulla has criticized the current state of the club following a 3-2 defeat against Sassuolo. Rampulla described the match as “strange,” noting that despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, the team failed to secure a result, which could negatively impact group morale.
A central point of Rampulla’s critique is the team's composition. He expressed disappointment regarding the high number of foreign players in the lineup, suggesting that the lack of a strong Italian core has weakened the squad's cohesion and sense of belonging. He contrasted the current strategy with the club's past, which he claimed relied on a solid foundation of talented national players.
Rampulla also specifically singled out recent acquisitions, labeling striker Woltemade as “unpresentable” after a poor performance that included a missed header. He further commented on the struggles of other players, suggesting the team lacks the necessary balance to succeed in the league.
