Michael Kayode attracts major interest from Liverpool and Juventus
Brentford defender Michael Kayode has emerged as a high-priority target for several major European football clubs following his successful transition to the Premier League and his rise within the Italian national team.
Liverpool has reportedly placed the 22-year-old at the “top of their watchlist” as they seek to strengthen their right-back rotation. Other Premier League clubs monitoring his progress include Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United. In Italy, Juventus is also tracking the former academy player, driven by a strategy to rebuild a stronger Italian core within their squad.
Kayode, who moved from Fiorentina to Brentford in early 2025, has seen his market value rise significantly. While he was originally signed for approximately €17.5 million, Brentford is expected to demand a premium of at least €60 million to €65 million for any potential transfer. The club’s negotiating position is bolstered by a long-term contract that runs until 2032.
Recent performances, including a goal for Italy in a UEFA Nations League match against Turkey, have further increased his profile. Scouts and commentators have praised his physicality, speed, and defensive intelligence, noting his successful adaptation to the high intensity of English football.
