Joshua Zirkzee targeted by Napoli and Juventus in transfer race

Italian clubs Napoli and Juventus are competing for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee. Manchester United has reportedly indicated a willingness to discuss a loan deal for the Dutch striker, which could include a buy clause. Zirkzee has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Juventus, though the Turin-based club's move is contingent on the departure of Jonathan David.

Napoli is also heavily involved in the market for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Romelu Lukaku. The club is monitoring several Premier League options, including Zirkzee, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus. However, Napoli’s ability to finalize a deal for Jackson or Zirkzee depends on the club first offloading current players, such as Noa Lang or Lorenzo Lucca, to manage their wage bill.

While Chelsea is reportedly unwilling to loan Nicolas Jackson, they may consider a permanent sale if a significant offer is made, potentially involving Aston Villa. The transfer activity remains highly dependent on clubs managing their existing squad costs and player exits before the summer window closes.
