Juventus opens new youth football academy in Armenia

Juventus has officially inaugurated its new youth academy in Armenia, establishing a training system designed to provide hundreds of young players with access to professional European football methodologies. The primary facility, located in Yerevan’s Avan district, is already training between 600 and 700 children using a staff of approximately 14 to 15 Italian coaches.

The Avan complex features high-level infrastructure, including natural and artificial turf pitches, an indoor field, a gym, medical and rehabilitation areas, and a technology-equipped analysis room. The site also includes accommodation for players and coaches, as well as a nursery and kindergarten.

Beyond the Avan complex, the project includes an existing facility in Yerevan’s Kentron district and new construction underway in Nor Hachn, Kotayk Province. The inauguration was attended by various officials, including Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, UEFA Secretary General Theodore Theodoridis, and former Juventus player Fabrizio Ravanelli.
