Juventus probes Goretzka signing while targeting €7 million Arthur Melo sale
Juventus has re‑opened negotiations with the representatives of German midfielder Leon Goretzka, who became a free agent after his contract with Bayern Munich ended. The club sees the 28‑year‑old as a potential high‑profile addition that would meet coach Luciano Spalletti’s demand for a physically strong, experienced midfielder, but his wage expectations – around €7 million net per season plus a €10 million signing bonus – pose a financial challenge.
At the same time, Juventus is preparing a permanent transfer for Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo. With his contract running until 2027 and a €5 million annual salary, the club aims to secure a fee of at least €7 million. A meeting with his agents has been scheduled to find a new destination for the player, as part of the broader squad restructuring overseen by new CEO Giovanni Carnevali.
