Juventus nears deal for Bologna defender Jhon Lucumí

Juventus is nearing a deal to sign Colombian defender Jhon Lucumí from Bologna. Reports indicate a verbal agreement has been reached for a transfer valued at approximately 20 million euros plus variables. The 28-year-old center-back, known for his versatility and left-footed play, is expected to travel to Turin for medical examinations between August 15 and 17.

Lucumí, a regular for the Colombian national team, has become a key figure at Bologna, where he has made over 150 appearances. The move is seen as a priority for Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti to strengthen the defensive line. The player is expected to sign a contract lasting until June 2030 or 2031.

While the Lucumí deal is reaching its final stages, Juventus continues to search for a new goalkeeper. The club is monitoring several options, including Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham and potentially Anatolij Trubin, following the decision by PSG to retain Zion Suzuki for the time being.
