Neto rejoins Juventus as backup goalkeeper until 2027

Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto has returned to Juventus, signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2027. The 37-year-old joins as a free agent following the termination of his contract with Botafogo.

Neto’s arrival was prompted by a serious injury to Kamil Grabara, who underwent surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Under the management of Luciano Spalletti, Neto is expected to serve as the deputy to starting goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

This marks a return to Turin for Neto, who previously played for the club between 2015 and 2017, during which time he won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies, and one Supercoppa Italiana. His career has included stints at major clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal, Valencia, and Bournemouth.
