Crvena zvezda manages major squad overhaul with key transfers
Crvena zvezda is undergoing significant squad changes through several high-profile player transfers. The club has secured nearly 31 million euros in revenue this summer from various player sales to offset financial losses following their exit from European competitions.
Key departures include 20-year-old midfielder Jovan Šljivić, who is transferring to Fakel Voronezh in Russia for 500,000 euros plus a 30 percent sell-on clause. Additionally, 17-year-old defender Mateja Lacmanović is moving to Juventus for approximately 1 million euros.
On the recruitment side, the club has signed Japanese defender Juta Nakajama to a three-year contract. Nakajama, who can play as both a center-back and left-back, expressed his ambition to win domestic titles and help the team qualify for the Champions League in the future.
