Juventus faces injury crisis as Locatelli undergoes knee surgery

Juventus is facing a significant injury crisis following their 1-1 draw against AC Milan. Captain Manuel Locatelli underwent successful surgery in Lyon to repair an external meniscus tear in his right knee. While initial estimates suggested a three-month absence, reports indicate he could be sidelined for five to six months, potentially missing much of the season.

In addition to Locatelli, winger Jeremie Boga is expected to miss several weeks due to a muscle injury in his left thigh. The club's medical staff is awaiting further examinations to determine the exact severity. These absences add to a growing list of injured players, which includes Khephren Thuram and Kenan Yildiz.

To manage the shortage in midfield, the club is looking toward youth prospect Augusto Owusu. The 2005-born midfielder, who has experience with Juventus Next Gen, is being prepared to step up in the absence of key starters.
