Juventus targets Club Brugge defender Joel Ordoñez with €40m transfer plan

Ecuadorian centre‑back Joel Ordoñez has continued to impress for Club Brugge, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs and sparking a concrete bid from Serie A giants Juventus. Juventus have reportedly drafted a specific transfer dossier and are willing to sell defender Federico Gatti to free up funds for the move.

Club Brugge, whose contract with Ordoñez runs until summer 2028, are aiming for a fee of around €40 million, which would make the deal the most expensive outgoing transfer in Belgian football history. The club’s strong financial position gives it leverage in negotiations, and competition between Juventus and English clubs could push the price higher.
