Juventus nears deal for Neto following Kamil Grabara injury
Juventus is finalizing an agreement to bring back Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto on a one-year contract following a major injury to Kamil Grabara. Neto, 37, is currently a free agent after leaving Botafogo and previously played for Juventus between 2015 and 2017.
Grabara sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during training, an injury that is expected to sideline him for six to eight months. The Polish goalkeeper has already undergone surgery in Poland and shared his recovery journey on social media.
Neto is expected to serve as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Guglielmo Vicario. The club's decision to target an experienced veteran comes as the squad faces a growing injury crisis, with other players including Kenan Yıldız, Khéphren Thuram, and Manuel Locatelli also sidelined. The club is also reportedly monitoring young talent Lorenzo Palmisani for long-term depth in the position.
