Pape Matar Sarr joins Juventus from Tottenham on €30m deal
Juventus has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. The deal is structured as a paid loan with an obligation to purchase, totaling an estimated €30 million.
The obligation to buy is contingent upon specific conditions: Juventus must qualify for the Champions League or Europa League, and Sarr must feature in at least 50% of the team's matches. Sarr has arrived in Turin to undergo medical examinations at J Medical before officially signing a contract that reportedly extends his commitment to the club through 2031.
This move serves as a strategic reinforcement for Luciano Spalletti's midfield following the failed pursuit of Franck Kessié and injury concerns regarding Khéphren Thuram. In a related transfer development, Juventus has also reached an agreement with Newcastle United for a €5 million loan of Nick Woltemade to bolster their attacking options.
