Juventus target Richarlison as backup striker while Kolo Muani deal stalls

Juventus are pursuing Brazilian forward Richarlison from Tottenham as a contingency after talks with Paris Saint‑Germain over French striker Randal Kolo Muani have stalled. Tottenham have indicated they are willing to let the 29‑year‑old leave for a fee between €20 million and €25 million, a price Juventus consider affordable given Richarlison’s net salary of just over €3 million per year.

The Italian club view Richarlison as a physically robust centre‑forward who can add depth and experience to a Juve attack that suffered the departure of Dusan Vlahovic and under‑performance from recent signings. While Kolo Muani’s asking price remains around €50‑55 million, Juventus keep the Brazilian on their shortlist alongside other interested parties such as Fenerbahçe. The potential move would also free up funds for Juventus to restructure their squad ahead of the new season.

Tottenham’s willingness to negotiate stems from Richarlison’s contract now running out in 2027 and the club’s desire to trim its wage bill after a costly rebuild. Juventus’ chief executive Giovanni Carnevali, who has a long‑standing relationship with Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi, is expected to use that link to advance talks.
