Juventus eyes Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario amid summer transfer market

Juventus has spent close to €140 million on summer signings, including Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegović, and is now focusing on securing a new first‑choice goalkeeper. Coach Luciano Spalletti has identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Guglielmo Vicario as the preferred target and publicly questioned why Spurs have left the 29‑year‑old out of their pre‑season squad.

Spalletti’s comments have been echoed by Juventus officials, who say Vicario’s experience and leadership fit the club’s plan. Tottenham’s decision follows Vicario’s recent injury‑related absence, and the club appears open to a loan‑with‑option‑to‑buy arrangement. Paris Saint‑Germain’s €33 million bid for Parma’s Zion Suzuki has further narrowed Juventus’s options, while other candidates such as Noah Atubolu and Lucas Chevalier have been rejected.

To free the necessary budget, Juventus is also preparing a series of player exits, including Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners and potentially Jonathan David, aiming to balance the books before finalising the goalkeeper deal.
