Juventus Utena signs Emmanuel Nzekwesi to frontcourt

The Lithuanian basketball club Juventus Utena has announced a change in its frontcourt roster. The team has mutually terminated the contract of center Brandon Huntley-Hatfield after he appeared in four LKL games.

To replace him, Juventus has signed Emmanuel Nzekwesi, a 29-year-old, 203 cm tall forward from the Netherlands national team. Nzekwesi joins the club following stints in Poland with Śląsk Wrocław and in Romania with CSM Oradea. During his time in Romania, he averaged 14 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in the domestic league, and 15.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in the FIBA Europe Cup.

Club leader Eimantas Skersis noted that the team had previously targeted Nzekwesi but was unable to match previous offers. He described the new signing as a physically strong, experienced player who brings necessary energy and stability to both offense and defense.
