JW Marriott opens first all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica

JW Marriott has announced the opening of the JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort & Spa in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This property marks the brand’s first all-inclusive resort worldwide.

Located at Playa de El Jobo on the northern Pacific coast, the resort features 415 rooms and suites, 15 culinary venues, and a complex of 17 pools, including an oceanfront infinity pool. The development emphasizes a wellness-focused approach, including a 1,500-square-meter wellness area with a spa, gym, and a dedicated Mindfulness House for meditation and relaxation.

The resort includes the brand’s first next-generation Griffin Club, offering personalized services and exclusive beach access. Dining options range from local specialties to Afro-Caribbean flavors. Rates for the resort start at US$900 per person per night based on double occupancy.
