JW Marriott opens first all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica

JW Marriott has opened the JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort & Spa in Costa Rica, marking the brand’s first all-inclusive resort globally. Located at Playa El Jobo on the country’s northern Pacific coast, the luxury property features 415 rooms and suites, 15 restaurants and bars, and a pool landscape consisting of 17 pools.

The resort aims to differentiate itself from traditional all-inclusive models by emphasizing high-end gastronomy, wellness, and local experiences. The design, led by Phiba by DCM in collaboration with local artisans, incorporates elements inspired by the Guanacaste region. Accommodations include Presidential Suites and specialized ‘Mindful Rooms and Suites’ designed for travelers seeking tranquility and well-being.
