Jysk expands Danish logistics with 63,000 sqm warehouse in Horsens

Jysk will lease a 63,000 sqm property west of Horsens that was previously used by transport firm DSV. The space, rented from pension‑fund owner Sampension, will house around 30 staff and allow the retailer to merge several smaller local warehouses into a single, centralized hub.

The new hub will supply Jysk’s 117 Danish stores and support direct deliveries to online shoppers, with the potential to serve other Nordic markets. Logistics director Henrik Madsen said the additional capacity is needed to meet growing customer demand. Sampension’s senior portfolio manager Martin Rauhe Pedersen called the lease an important step for the property and highlighted the value‑creating partnership.

The Horsens expansion follows recent investments, including a 24,000 sqm warehouse increase in Nässjö, Sweden, and a temporary 90,000 sqm distribution centre in Italy, while the existing Uldum centre already serves stores across Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
