Jyske Bank appoints Niels-Henrik Kjeldgaard as market director
Jyske Bank has appointed Niels-Henrik Kjeldgaard as its new market director, effective September 1. Kjeldgaard, who previously worked in Skive for 14 years, will oversee the bank's branches in Nykøbing, Thisted, and Skive. His responsibilities include managing the private customer segment and clients with privately owned businesses.
Kjeldgaard succeeds Chris Lundquist, who returned to Viborg earlier this year. The appointment comes amid a period of significant consolidation within the Danish banking landscape. While Jyske Bank remains Denmark's second-largest bank, it faces increasing competition from larger entities following mergers involving Nykredit, Spar Nord Bank, Sydbank, and Arbejdernes Landsbank. To strengthen its position in the wealth management sector, Jyske Bank, under CEO Lars Mørch, recently acquired Jyske Bank Formuepleje.
