K-Art festival brings Korean culture to Pietrasanta

The second edition of the K-Art festival, dedicated to Korean art and culture, is taking place in Pietrasanta, Italy, from October 6 to October 16. Organized by the Ilbaekheon Gallery, the event serves as a cultural bridge between South Korea and Italy, showcasing various forms of artistic expression.

The festival features a diverse program, including exhibitions of Minhwa (Korean folk painting), traditional bojagi textiles, calligraphy, and media art from the Nam June Paik Cultural Foundation. Specific exhibitions include ‘A Gift from Korea’ at the Loggiato di Sant'Agostino and the ‘Garden of Popular Painting’ at Giardino Barsanti.

Musical performances are also scheduled, featuring artist Charlie Jung with various guests, including baritone Cho Byung-joo and organist Manrico Seghi. The event is supported by local organizations and the Municipality of Pietrasanta, celebrating the long-standing presence of the South Korean community within the city's artistic landscape.
