K-Beauty industry embraces
The Korean beauty industry is shifting toward a trend known as "Skinimalism," which emphasizes reduced but highly effective skincare routines. Instead of the traditional, multi-step processes, this approach focuses on three to five essential steps: cleansing, moisturizing, targeted active ingredient treatment, and daily sun protection.
To support this trend, multifunctional and hybrid products are becoming central to consumer routines. For example, Village 11 Factory's Miracle Youth Double Cleanser combines oil and foam cleansing into a single product.
Retailers and brands are also adapting to the demand for simplified, high-performance routines. Balea has launched its "Inspired by Korean Skincare" series, utilizing ingredients like Rice PDRN and fermented rice alongside niacinamide and ceramides to achieve the popular "Glass Skin" look. This series includes versatile products such as the Gentle Mochi Cleanser, which functions as a cleanser, exfoliant, or wash-off mask.
