K-Bio Gateway wins Minister's Award for probiotic brand

Green bio startup K-Bio Gateway has received the Excellence Award (Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award) at the ‘2026 Agri-Food Startup Contest’. The award recognizes the company’s functional probiotic brand, ‘Diet Helper 24’, which utilizes the self-developed DH24 strain (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum DH24) designed to assist in body fat reduction and maintain stability at room temperature.

Out of 521 participating teams, K-Bio Gateway was one of the 11 finalists selected through expert evaluation and simulated investment rounds. The company, established in Cheonan in 2025, aims to expand its business beyond functional foods into cosmetics, pet health, and pharma-biotics by leveraging its proprietary bio-materials for global market entry.
