K-Edutech firms expand global reach through AI tools and export deals

South Korean edutech companies are expanding their global presence, highlighted by recent developments at the 2026 EduTech Korea Fair in Seoul. During the event, AraSoft secured a $500,000 contract to supply e-book solutions to Indonesia’s Budhi Luhur University and the major media group Kompas Gramedia. This deal follows two years of support from KOTRA to connect the company with Indonesian buyers.

Other participants, such as Vigos, showcased AI-driven services designed to streamline classroom management. Vigos introduced ‘Hamaroam’ and ‘Hamao,’ tools that connect student activities, assessments, and records. These services use AI to assist teachers with grading, providing feedback, and generating drafts for student school records, aiming to reduce repetitive administrative tasks.

The expansion of K-Edutech is supported by high digital literacy among Korean students, as evidenced by recent PISA results. KOTRA and the Korea Edutech Industry Association continue to facilitate international trade through specialized export consultation sessions and market trend reports to assist domestic firms in entering global markets.
