K. Kavitha criticizes KTR and alleges BRS compromise

K. Kavitha, a former MP and leader of the Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS), has leveled several allegations against former colleagues and family members within the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Addressing the media during the Raksha Bandhan festival, Kavitha expressed personal hurt regarding her brother, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), noting that he was abroad and unavailable for the tradition. She stated that the sacred bond of family should not be mixed with politics and emphasized that her decision was rooted in her self-respect.

Furthermore, Kavitha alleged that the BRS has been “compromised,” claiming that Siddipet MLA Harish Rao is secretly working toward an understanding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She further alleged that Rao has been meeting with a prominent RSS functionary and made claims regarding the profitability of his milk business during his tenure as Health Minister. Kavitha challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to investigate these claims.
