K. Laxman launches cycling campaign in Hyderabad to combat drug abuse

BJP MP K. Laxman has launched a cycling campaign in Hyderabad to raise awareness about drug abuse among youth. The initiative aims to support the national objective of making India drug-free by December 31, 2029, a goal established by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The campaign has been held every Sunday for the past three months. It seeks to educate students, parents, and the wider community—specifically targeting Generation Z—about the dangers of addiction and the necessity of collective action against narcotics.

Laxman emphasized the importance of educating families on the consequences of substance abuse, taking action against drug peddlers, and encouraging those struggling with addiction to seek rehabilitation. The program is being conducted with the participation of civil society and the Telangana government.
