K League celebrates 10 years of Life Sharing Campaign

The K League Life Sharing Campaign celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event held at Incheon Football Stadium during a match between Incheon United and Daejeon Hana Citizen. The campaign, a joint social contribution project between the K League and the National Institute of Organ, Tissue and Blood Management under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, began in 2016.

A poignant moment occurred during the ceremonial kickoff, which was performed by Lee Hyung-hoon, the Second Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, and the mother of the late Jin Ho-seung. Jin, a former member of the Incheon United U-18 youth team, passed away in 2022 following a traffic accident. After being declared brain dead, his organ donation provided new life to seven individuals.

To mark the milestone, players from both Incheon and Daejeon wore commemorative 10th-anniversary scarves. The event also featured promotional booths and activities for fans to learn about the importance of organ donation, including photo opportunities with campaign model and track athlete Kim Min-ji.
