K League updates: Gimcheon Sangmu draws with FC Seoul

In K League 1 action, Gimcheon Sangmu secured a 2-2 draw against league leaders FC Seoul at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Despite Klimala scoring twice for Seoul to reach 16 goals for the season, Gimcheon responded with penalty goals from Lee Sang-heon and Kim In-gjun to maintain their undefeated streak against Seoul this season.

The draw leaves FC Seoul with 66 points, extending their lead over second-place Ulsan HD, but delays their official league title confirmation. Gimcheon Sangmu remains in 10th place with 34 points, while facing ongoing uncertainty regarding the club's future operations following Gimcheon City's decision not to pursue a transition to a citizen-owned club.

In K League 2, Seoul E-Land prepared to face Gimhae FC amidst heavy rainfall. Following Suwon FC's victory over Seongnam FC, the gap between second-place Suwon FC and third-place Seoul E-Land has widened to three points. Seoul E-Land manager Kim Do-kyun emphasized the need for a high-scoring performance to improve their goal difference while navigating the challenging pitch conditions.
