K-MEDI Hub hosts stem cell atlas research session

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Advanced Medical Industry Foundation (K-MEDI Hub) hosted a ‘Cell Atlas & Cell Regeneration’ session during the 2026 annual conference of the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research (KSSCR). Supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT’s project for developing treatment technologies for incurable diseases based on the stem cell ATLAS, the session focused on the construction of a Korean-style stem cell atlas.

Experts from K-MEDI Hub, Konkuk University, Pusan National University, and UNIST presented recent research findings regarding cell and tissue regeneration. The discussions highlighted how advancements in single-cell and spatial omics technologies allow researchers to move beyond identifying cell types to analyzing spatiotemporal changes in cell states during development, injury, and regeneration.

K-MEDI Hub aims to use the accumulated research data and international networks to support disease research and the discovery of new therapeutic targets, fostering further collaboration among domestic researchers.
